This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Clearly convey the product strategy, messaging, and positioning of F5’s value proposition and solutions in alignment with customer business goals.
• Offer technical expertise through various mediums such as sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept – including in-person and virtual formats, whiteboards, etc.
• Guide and educate sales teams on the value of F5 solutions and the underlying business drivers.
• Assess the viability of opportunities and map the organizational structure. Collaborate with the Account Manager to drive the sales process by identifying the Technical Decision Maker and securing their technical validation, support, and sponsorship.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently throughout the customer life cycle.
• Collaborate effectively with internal technical and sales teams, sharing best practices and updates, while offering and seeking expertise as needed for various opportunities.
• BS/BA degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems) or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer.
• Familiarity with traffic management and load-balancing technologies, such as F5, Citrix, Riverbed, Kemp, or similar.
• Understanding of HTTP, web servers, and web applications.
• Knowledge of related protocols including TCP/IP, WebSocket, SPDY/HTTP2, SSL, SMTP, POP, DNS, and others.
• Competency in Linux-/UNIX-based systems.
• Proficiency in networking technologies and Internet security products and services.
• Experience with cloud service providers (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, systems, and tools (such as Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
• Experience in API development and/or management.
• Background in a DevOps environment, including understanding of tools, processes, and culture.
• Experience working with enterprise customers within the financial services sector.
