Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as an Advanced Optical technology specialist for EXFO during visits and technical discussions.

• Offer pre-sales assistance to the NEM and LAB customer segments.

• Maintain a presence at trade shows, conferences, and customer demonstrations, emphasizing technical product applications.

• Engage in field evaluations to ensure customers receive proper training and guidance on EXFO testing solutions.

• Collaborate closely with the Business Unit and Marketing to guarantee that the latest product information is effectively communicated to the market.

• Deliver direct feedback to the Business Unit concerning competitive insights and new feature requests gathered from the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least three years of experience with communications test equipment, photonics, or a related field.

• Proficient in communications technologies, including high-speed transceivers, photonics, active/passive optical components, and PIC technologies.

• Knowledgeable in testing and characterizing optical and high-speed components using tools like tunable laser sources, high-speed optical test solutions, and fiber characterization equipment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Optics, Engineering, or a similar discipline.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Willingness to travel approximately 25%-50% of the time.
