Solutions Engineer, AI Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the expert on AI Agents. Be the primary internal and external authority on Cresta's AI Agent capabilities, engaging early in the sales process to build technical credibility and enhance opportunity velocity.

• Collaborate closely with Core SEs. Work in partnership with Core SEs as the AI Agent specialist, taking ownership of the AI Agent technical narrative.

• Conduct AI Agent workshops. Design and lead technical discovery workshops with potential customers to investigate AI Agent use cases, outline implementation scope, and align on a path to value, converting business challenges into agent-driven solutions.

• Manage use case and API discovery. Lead in-depth technical discovery sessions to identify, propose, and refine AI Agent use cases. Assess integration needs and API feasibility to provide a robust technical foundation for deals.

• Assist with high-stakes AI Agent demonstrations. Take charge of the most intricate and critical AI Agent demos in collaboration with the Core SE team.

• Engage early as a specialist resource. Enter opportunities at the outset, helping to qualify and shape AI Agent deals before proof-of-value, bringing depth and structure to technical discussions from the beginning.

• Develop the business case. Collaborate with Sales Directors and Core SEs to convert AI Agent solutions into financial ROI models, contributing to ROI workshops and framing the business case in terms that resonate with economic decision-makers.

• Collaborate with FDX. Work closely with Forward Deployed PMs and Engineers to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sale to deployment, incorporating FDX insights on agent performance, edge cases, and customer outcomes back into pre-sale positioning and discovery.

• Complete the product feedback loop. Analyze patterns from AI Agent opportunities and provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering, accelerating Cresta's roadmap to meet enterprise demand.

• Enhance the SE team's AI Agent fluency. Share your expertise across the broader SE organization through enablement, playbooks, and informal coaching, elevating the team's collective capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, with at least 1–3 years in pre-sales for large enterprises.

• Practical experience in designing, building, or selling AI Agents or agentic AI systems, including knowledge of agent frameworks, orchestration patterns, and LLM-based architectures.

• Solid understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and how enterprise systems interface with AI Agent workflows.

• Experience in Conversational AI, contact center platforms, or voice/chat automation technologies.

• Proven ability to make complex AI concepts comprehensible, translating technical depth into clear business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Natural workshop facilitator and collaborator, comfortable working with both a prospect's engineering team and presenting to C-suite executives.

• Highly organized, meticulous in preparation, and dedicated to delivering outstanding prospect experiences.

• Resourceful problem-solver capable of navigating ambiguity, garnering internal support, and steering complex technical discussions to a definitive outcome.

• Proficiency in writing Python for prototyping, scripting, or demo customization is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Salesforce.com and enterprise contact center technologies is a plus.
