Solutions Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Offer engineering support for proposals, renewals, and re-engineering initiatives to facilitate CEVA's business expansion and enhance customer loyalty.

• Conduct data analysis, create operational concepts, design layouts, identify processes, construct engineering models, and formulate customer proposals.

• Continuously enhance engineering competencies to design operations for distribution centers.

• Collaborate with Business Development and Program Managers to plan, prepare, and deliver proposals and renewals promptly.

• Provide engineering assistance for additional operational enhancements as needed.

• Integrate sustainable practices into CEVA proposals where applicable and support local community initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

• At least 2 years of experience in Logistics & Distribution focusing on the design, implementation, or launch of new facilities and solutions.

• Experience in e-commerce and omni-channel fulfillment.

• Background in engineering distribution centers.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, data analysis, process mapping tools, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

• Understanding of Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality.

• Strong analytical skills to assess complex issues and devise suitable solutions.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to travel domestically 10–15% of the time.

• Experience in 3PL or similar roles is preferred.

• Six Sigma and Lean certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with warehouse automation applications is advantageous.
