This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main technical expert supporting sales opportunities focused on Microsoft technologies.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to pinpoint, assess, and cultivate new business prospects.
• Facilitate customer discovery sessions to grasp business goals, technical needs, and operational hurdles.
• Craft and showcase Microsoft-based solutions that are tailored to client requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
• Create solution architectures, technical proposals, statements of work, and necessary documentation.
• Provide executive briefings, technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Work alongside Microsoft account teams, partner organizations, and internal practice leaders to devise and position solutions.
• Assist in responding to RFPs, RFQs, and other procurement processes for customers.
• Support clients in formulating strategies for cloud adoption, security modernization, workplace transformation, and AI.
• Keep abreast of Microsoft’s solution offerings, licensing programs, and strategic directions.
• Collaborate with delivery and services teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to execution.
• Represent Red River at customer events, conferences, partner engagements, and industry forums.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in presales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or similar customer-facing roles.
• Proven experience in designing, presenting, and advocating for Microsoft-based solutions within enterprise settings.
• Strong foundation in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, and modern workplace technologies.
• Proficient and experienced in solution-selling for one or more areas: Azure Cloud, Infrastructure and Modernization; Microsoft 365 and Modern Work Solutions; Microsoft Security and Compliance; Data, Analytics, and AI Solutions; Microsoft Copilot and Generative AI Technologies.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Experience in developing technical proposals, solution designs, and customer-facing deliverables.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support customer and partner activities.
• Experience with Commercial, Federal, Department of Defense, State & Local Government, or highly regulated commercial clients is preferred.
• Familiarity with managed services and recurring revenue business models is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft licensing programs and commercial agreements is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Microsoft field teams and partner ecosystems is preferred.
• Preferred Microsoft certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert; Cybersecurity Architect Expert; Azure Administrator Associate; Security Operations Analyst Associate; Identity and Access Administrator Associate; Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.
• Travel requirements may reach up to 50% based on work location.
