This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design systems for nuclear power plants.
• Prepare or evaluate modification packages for operational nuclear power facilities.
• Create or assess functional mechanical drawings and schematics for nuclear power plant systems.
• Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations that support modifications and operations of plant systems.
• Develop technical specifications and procurement documentation for plant equipment.
• Carry out vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment.
• Perform studies and evaluations of options for modifications to operational nuclear power plants.
• Generate engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized scopes of work requested by clients.
• Visit client offices and/or plant sites to engage with clients and convey engineering tasks and status updates.
• Lead teams in engineering projects.
• Spearhead automation and process improvement initiatives utilizing modern tools such as automation and AI.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• At least 5 years of experience in the power industry.
• Proficiency in codes, standards, and regulations relevant to the mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
• Must not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization.
• A PE license is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Willingness or capability to lead others with modern tools such as automation and AI.
• Experience overseeing engineers in programming or scripting using Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel is preferred but not essential.
• Additional qualifications such as a minor, certificate, or experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields are valued.
