Solutions Architect – Communications, Media, Entertainment and Games

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete technical strategy for accounts, from the initial discovery phase to production deployment and growth in consumption.

• Facilitate intricate architecture conversations and design scalable, production-quality solutions encompassing data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.

• Act as a reliable technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leaders, and Directors.

• Achieve technical victories in competitive situations by providing custom-built solutions that highlight Databricks' unique advantages.

• Cultivate and establish a developing technical specialization, becoming a key resource for the team.

• Coordinate cross-functional resources, including DSAs, SSAs, and Partners, to deliver complete solutions.

• Shape product development by providing structured feedback on customer needs and competitive deficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical position.

• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL, with experience in live coding, debugging, and building solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of distributed data systems architecture, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.

• Proficient in the Databricks Platform or the capability to quickly achieve proficiency.

• Developing technical specialization in areas such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations.

• Ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders, including whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analyses.

• Experience with production deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, covering infrastructure, security, and governance aspects.

• Proven track record of driving platform adoption and increasing consumption within accounts.

• Exceptional communication skills to convey complex architectures into business value.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field, or equivalent experience.

• Databricks certifications, experience with competitive platforms, a background in data/AI companies or cloud providers, and industry domain expertise are advantageous.
