Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Taking charge of the technical aspects of deals by assisting customers in progressing from “this looks interesting” to “we’re confident this will work.”

• Engaging directly with customers to architect scalable systems utilizing PostgreSQL and TigerData.

• Delving into real challenges: schema design, query optimization, performance concerns, and architectural decisions.

• Serving as a reliable technical partner from the initial conversation through to early adoption.

• Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success teams - incorporating genuine customer feedback into the product development process.

• Creating scalable solutions that amplify your impact: demos, reference architectures, benchmarks, and technical documentation.

• Leveraging AI tools effectively - whether to analyze queries swiftly, explore architectures, or enhance the efficiency of building and sharing solutions.

• Maintaining a sense of curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning (Postgres ecosystem, cloud infrastructure, emerging data patterns, etc.).

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in a Solutions Architect / Sales Engineer / pre-sales role for a technical or developer-centric product.

• Hands-on experience with relational databases at scale (PostgreSQL is highly advantageous).

• Comfortable discussing data models, query plans, performance optimization, and system design with engineers.

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data architectures (ETL pipelines, storage, compute).

• Ability to switch between in-depth technical discussions and broader business conversations.

• Enjoy problem-solving - you don’t require complete documentation to begin working.

• Currently using (or at least experimenting with) AI tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
