Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Serve as a consultant and mentor for the PTP team, responsible for defining OCHIN’s PTP integration strategies, processes, designs, tools, and technical support.

• Function as a liaison between the PTP team and other technical teams to ensure cross-functionality and the efficient development of new and enhanced PTP solutions.

• Design and develop complex integrations and multi-level architectures to guarantee the long-term supportability of existing and future solutions.

• Ensure the ongoing success and scalability of new and existing PTPs by implementing best practices and automations across the PTP product portfolio.

• Offer hands-on technical expertise to address both internal and external integration needs, as well as solution upgrades and technical escalations.

• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support, leadership, and oversight of new and emerging technologies for the team during the planning, scoping, development, and implementation phases.

• Scope, create, and document architectural designs with OCHIN technical teams and vendors, while proactively reviewing, revising, and enhancing existing solutions to optimize our design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science is preferred, or a combination of college education and seven or more years of relevant experience.

• At least 5 years of healthcare IT experience, with no less than 4 years focused on building integrations between external systems/applications with Epic.

• Proven experience in architecting highly available systems with external integrations.

• Experience in building secure enterprise web solutions within AWS.

• Familiarity with Anthropic Claude Code.

• Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, such as FHIR.

• Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills, paired with an innovative mindset adept at identifying, prioritizing, and developing enhancement opportunities.
