Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver architectural designs and professional services to Cohesity clients.

• Lead customer transition projects from assessment to deployment completion, acting as the technical authority for migration strategies, workload prioritization, and execution planning.

• Identify technical, operational, security, and business risks, creating transition plans prior to implementation.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer architects, infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders.

• Review and authorize design deviations, implementation decisions, and deployment readiness milestones.

• Foster strategic relationships with key customers and Cohesity teams.

• Collaborate with Cohesity’s product solutions, product management, and engineering teams to connect technology capabilities with customer needs.

• Present architectural recommendations, deployment strategies, and technical risks to both executive and technical stakeholders.

• Engage directly with customers to understand their organizational needs and determine how Cohesity’s product features can best support their objectives.

• Create detailed solution designs that include architecture diagrams, sizing specifications, integration requirements, and risk assessments.

• Provide field feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams regarding deployment challenges, feature gaps, automation opportunities, and customer requirements.

• Define technical architecture, including sizing and performance metrics that align with customer needs.

• Collaborate with others to produce post-deployment documentation (run books, pre-deployment templates, etc.).

• Offer constructive feedback to Implementation Engineers, Systems Engineers, and engineering teams to enhance the overall experience.

• Continually refine deliverables as we scale and introduce new features/products.

• Assess deliverables for success and areas for improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in architecting, documenting, deploying, and enabling others.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity, organization, and effectiveness.

• More than 10 years of professional IT experience.

• Familiarity with Backup Products: NetBackup.

• Proficient in Compute & Virtualization technologies (VMware, vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Experience with physical systems: Windows, Linux/Unix.

• Knowledge of databases: Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, SAP.

• Understanding of storage solutions: NAS, SAN, Object Storage, NFS, SMB, S3, and storage performance concepts.

• Networking skills including IP planning, VLANs, routing, firewall rules, load balancing concepts, DNS, NTP, MTU, and multisite networking concepts.

• Security knowledge: AD, LDAP, SSO, MGA, RBAC, least privilege access principles, key management, encryption, and ransomware recovery principles.

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, cloud archival, recovery patterns, hybrid cloud data protection, data security, and disaster recovery/business continuity database protection and recovery.

• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Ansible, and ServiceNow).

• Excellent communication and project management skills are essential.

• Strong writing skills with the ability to create thorough documentation.

• Self-motivated with outstanding organizational and time management abilities.

• Capability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines.
