Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Provide architectural designs and professional services to Cohesity clients.

• Guide customer transition efforts from assessment to the completion of deployment, acting as the technical expert for migration strategies, workload prioritization, and execution planning.

• Identify technical, operational, security, and business risks, and formulate transition plans before implementation.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer architects, infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders.

• Evaluate and approve design deviations, implementation choices, and deployment readiness milestones.

• Cultivate strategic relationships with key customers and Cohesity teams.

• Collaborate with Cohesity’s product solutions, product management, and engineering teams to align technology capabilities with customer needs.

• Present architectural recommendations, deployment strategies, and technical risks to both executive and technical stakeholders.

• Interact directly with customers to comprehend their organizational needs and determine how Cohesity’s product features can effectively support their goals.

• Create detailed solution designs, including architecture diagrams, sizing specifications, integration requirements, and risk assessments.

• Provide field input to Product Management and Engineering teams concerning deployment challenges, feature gaps, automation opportunities, and customer needs.

• Define technical architecture, including sizing and performance metrics that align with customer requirements.

• Collaborate with teams to ensure successful implementation of Deployment Designs.

• Establish best practices for deployment designs that can be translated into project plans.

• Continuously enhance deliverables as we scale and unveil new features/products.

• Evaluate deliverables for success and areas for improvement.

• Work with others to create post-deployment documentation (run books, pre-deployment templates, etc.).

• Provide feedback to Implementation Engineers, Systems Engineers, and engineering teams on ways to enhance the overall experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with over 10 years of professional IT experience.

• Strongly preferred experience in the following areas: Backup Products: NetBackup; Compute & Virtualization (VMware, vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux/Unix.

• Databases: Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, SAP.

• Storage: NAS, SAN, Object Storage, NFS, SMB, S3, Storage Performance Concepts.

• Networking: IP Planning, VLANs, Routing, Firewall rules, Load Balancing concepts, DNS, NTP, MTU, multisite networking concepts.

• Security: AD, LDAP, SSO, MGA, RBAC, least privilege access concepts, Key management, encryption, ransomware recovery principles.

• Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Archival, Recovery Patterns, Hybrid Cloud Data Protection, Data Security, and Data Management.

• Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity.

• Database Protection and Recovery.

• Scripting/Automation (Python, Ansible, and ServiceNow).
