Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• In the role of Solutions Architect, you will design and oversee the implementation of enterprise Microsoft 365 solutions that facilitate collaboration, automation, knowledge sharing, and service optimization.

• You will provide architectural guidance across the M365 cloud platform, aligning technical capabilities with operational requirements while assisting in the evaluation of new solutions, enhancing platform performance, and promoting enterprise adoption of modern Microsoft technologies.

• Design M365-based solutions that enable enterprise collaboration, workflow automation, and scalable service delivery throughout the tenant.

• Lead the configuration and setup of Power Platform environments, ensuring that architectural choices support maintainability, governance, and long-term operational success.

• Evaluate Dataverse environment performance and usage trends, suggesting architectural enhancements to data models, capacity utilization, and solution reliability.

• Assist in troubleshooting M365 incident and task tickets by providing technical advice on complex issues impacting platform services and user-facing solutions.

• Outline solution strategies for Copilot, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate use cases while aiding users and stakeholders with issue resolution and adoption support.

• Support the architecture of OneDrive tenant and backup solutions, ensuring that services are configured to meet operational, continuity, and data retention requirements.

• Contribute to SharePoint Online architecture and administration efforts, aligning platform capabilities with business needs and enterprise standards.

• Lead or assist in proofs of concept and pilot initiatives by assessing technical fit, documenting results, and recommending scalable implementation strategies.

• Develop or guide scripting methodologies that enhance automation, streamline administration, and improve support for OneDrive and broader M365 functionalities.

• Ensure that architectural documentation, schedules, status updates, risks, mitigations, and deliverables are accurately maintained and reported promptly to program stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• All candidates must be U.S. Citizens to qualify for this position.

• An active Microsoft certification such as Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102) or Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300) is required.

• Candidates must be able to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience is necessary.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 in a large corporate or government setting is required.

• Extensive experience in designing and guiding solutions based on Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI is essential.

• A strong technical foundation in .NET development technologies such as C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with the capability to apply this knowledge to architectural decisions.

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, solution deployment support, administrative standardization, and platform operations is required.

• Advanced understanding of Exchange Online, Intune, Azure AD, and the Azure ecosystem, including identity, integration, governance, and cloud solution design considerations.

• Experience in Microsoft 365 development and SharePoint Administration, including customization of SharePoint lists and the integration of disparate systems using Power Apps is necessary.

• Proven experience in developing Power Apps solutions, including model-driven designs, and applying Power Platform capabilities to modernize enterprise processes.

• Knowledge of user permissions, data retention, and compliance settings within M365, along with experience in troubleshooting platform issues and supporting environments using AvePoint Online Services.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to various audiences and establish effective relationships with business units, leadership, and technical teams.

• Candidates must present acceptable identification for customer badging and site access, such as a REAL ID compliant driver's license, U.S. Passport, or other approved documents from the GSA Required Identification List.
