This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the digital design of cutting-edge RAIN RFID Reader ICs from architecture to tapeout and silicon validation.
• Create micro-architectures, executable models, and RTL for intricate digital and mixed-signal IC subsystems.
• Collaborate with chip architects and RF/analog engineers on mixed-signal architectures, digital control loops, calibration engines, and analog-IP interface logic.
• Work alongside physical design and verification teams to achieve timing closure, signal integrity, and ensure the delivery of production-ready Reader ICs.
• Establish and execute DFT strategies, which include scan insertion, BIST, and boundary scan.
• Collaborate with CAD/EDA engineers to enhance ASIC/SoC design flows, methodologies, and best practices.
• Improve existing RAIN RFID Reader products by adding features, enhancing performance, and optimizing power consumption.
• Assist in post-silicon bring-up and debugging by correlating RTL and simulation results with laboratory measurements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering with 12 years of experience, or 8 years with a Master's degree, or 5 years with a PhD is required.
• Over 12 years of RTL design experience.
• Experience in at least 2–3 complete tapeout cycles, ideally with mixed-signal or RF-integrated ICs.
• Strong expertise in digital logic design, micro-architecture definition, synthesis, and achieving timing closure.
• Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog for RTL development, behavioral modeling, and verification.
• Familiarity with CDC analysis, clock gating, low-power design (UPF/CPF), and static timing analysis.
• Experience with UVM-based verification, functional coverage, assertion-based verification, and DFT implementation (scan, MBIST, ATPG).
• Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or UNIX shell.
• Capability to lead technical workstreams, mentor junior engineers, and communicate effectively across analog, digital, and systems disciplines.
• Compliance with applicable U.S. export control regulations; additional national-identity documentation may be required.
• Additional rewards may comprise merit increases, annual bonuses, and stock options.
• Sales incentives might be available for specific roles.
• Healthcare benefits for employees based in the U.S.
• 401(k) plan with company matching.
• Competitive benefits package.
