This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Collaborate effectively with account executives, SC peers, and leadership to devise account and deal strategies that facilitate selection and plan customer engagements, resulting in compelling solutions.
• Conduct well-structured discoveries to identify customer needs and requirements pertaining to decision criteria and critical business issues.
• Develop solutions leveraging Benchling's capabilities, industry best practices, and standard R&D functions, incorporating data models and processes that align with the customer's or prospect's scientific landscape and existing technology environment.
• Present and showcase the solution persuasively, emphasizing key messages, decision criteria, and significant business issues. Address customer inquiries and objections, resolving any concerns. Ensure the solution is competitively presented, considering alternatives including in-house development.
• Collaborate with product management to share insights on prospect and customer needs as well as industry trends. Influence the product roadmap for market success and ensure clarity for customers to assist in their buying decisions.
• Provide leadership by developing reusable solutions, content, and training materials for key areas. Work alongside the extended team to guarantee their success and share your expertise. Mentor and collaborate with other SCs to enhance their achievements.
• Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or a similar Life Science discipline, with at least 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in customer-facing roles.
• Prior experience with scientific/informatics software such as LIMS, ELN, or similar is preferred. Familiarity with antibody engineering software is an advantage.
• REQUIRED - Practical experience in antibody discovery and engineering, either as a bench scientist or in a technical capacity supporting biologics teams.
• Proven ability to model scientific data effectively and develop solutions based on product knowledge and industry best practices. Experience in demonstrating and supporting research instruments, reagents, or software is desired.
• Familiarity with research technology typically used by biopharma companies.
• Possess an agile and adaptable mindset, capable of quickly implementing new customer engagement processes.
• Ability to establish yourself as a trusted advisor for scientists and successfully present to scientific buyers.
• Must be fluent in English; proficiency in German or French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations 25-30% of the time.
