This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of Android applications and SDKs to comprehend their codebases, architecture, functionality, and associated risks.

• Utilize decompilation, disassembly, debugging, and other sophisticated reverse engineering methods.

• Detect user and device vulnerabilities, data leaks, and the execution of harmful code.

• Collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence concerning Android malware, exploits, and emerging security trends.

• Work in collaboration with security researchers, developers, and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations.

• Play a role in the creation of secure applications and ecosystems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3–5+ years of experience in areas such as Android Development, Reverse Engineering, Pentesting, Application Security Assessments, or Capture the Flag (CTF).

• Practical experience in analyzing, unpacking, and reverse engineering malicious applications or SDKs.

• Proficiency in both static and dynamic analysis techniques.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, and Burp for binary and APK analysis.

• Knowledge of programming languages including Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Flutter, and others related to mobile software.

• Experience with ELF/native binary reverse engineering.

• Capability to develop signatures such as SQL and YARA.

• Understanding of Android fundamentals, including activity lifecycles, common Android API usage, AOSP, and the creation of Android applications.

• Insight into methods employed by malicious applications to compromise devices or data.

• Awareness of mobile app store policies.

• Knowledge of network traffic analysis and security principles.

• Conduct threat research utilizing VirusTotal, the web, ExploitDB, MITRE, and various open-source intelligence sources.

• Understanding of encoding and cryptography.

• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms and security protocols.

• Knowledge regarding device rooting procedures.

• Understanding of complex frameworks and application packers.
