This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on qualified opportunities to identify agency business objectives, challenges, and project requirements.
• Develop sales strategies and presentations, partnering with the sales team to build a pipeline, pursue opportunities, and secure business.
• Showcase SOVRA solutions through structured, collaborative demonstrations, typically conducting two to four each week.
• Serve as the functional and industry expert for sales directors and Account Executives.
• Construct functional responses to RFPs and assist with both functional and technical activities throughout the sales process.
• Review and compose proposal content as the role evolves.
• Relay prospect and customer feedback to Product Management and R&D to guide product enhancements.
• Act as a trusted advisor by converting business objectives into impactful technology solutions.
• Contribute to reliable revenue growth across SOVRA's product lineup, including Merx, Bidnet, and Edilex offerings.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Canadian public sector procurement, preferably from the buyer's perspective within an agency, city, province, or crown corporation, in a procurement or contract management capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of Canadian procurement processes, including solicitation requirements, posting obligations, and thresholds.
• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, with comfort in delivering presentations in either language.
• Familiarity or experience with SaaS and cloud-based applications, along with the ability to convey their benefits.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the capability to present to and engage client audiences effectively.
• Proven problem analysis and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic approach to short and long-term planning.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across North America.
• Required knowledge or experience in Canadian public sector procurement.
• Required bilingual proficiency in French and English.
• Physical presence in Ontario or Quebec would be advantageous.
• Previous or current experience using Merx or other procurement solutions would be beneficial.
• Experience in pre-sales, product demonstrations, training, or other customer-facing roles would be an asset.
