This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the creation of comprehensive Field Service Management (FSM) solutions specifically designed to meet the unique needs of clients in the utilities and energy sectors.
• Create intricate architectural blueprints that detail system integrations, data flows, and technical specifications.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight during the execution of FSM solutions, ensuring compliance with architectural designs and project schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, which include developers, project managers, and business analysts, to guarantee cohesive and efficient project execution.
• Keep updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to guide solution design and implementation strategies.
• Interact with clients to comprehend their business processes, requirements, and challenges.
• Convert client needs into functional and technical specifications, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project's lifecycle.
• Present architectural solutions and design choices to clients, clearly articulating the benefits and reasoning behind the selected approaches.
• Recruit, mentor, and nurture a team of technical professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Define team roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations to ensure clarity and accountability.
• Offer ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and understanding of FSM solutions.
• Establish and uphold best practices for solution design, coding standards, and system integrations.
• Conduct regular code and design reviews to guarantee quality and adherence to architectural standards.
• Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to boost efficiency and effectiveness in solution delivery.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in implementing Field Service Management or similar solutions, with a strong emphasis on the utilities and energy sectors is required.
• Proven history of leading complex FSM implementations and integrating with existing technology stacks (ERP, CRM, CIS, BI, Data Warehouse, etc.).
• Experience in developing web-based business applications, utilizing some of the following: XML, JSON, HTML5, AngularJS, etc.
• Familiarity with cloud-based FSM platforms (Salesforce Field Service, Oracle Field Service, ServiceNow FSM, Click).
• Knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in planning, designing, and developing integration solutions to connect with enterprise systems using SOAP and REST web services.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models, including backlog management and iterative solution delivery.
• Strong understanding of utility operations, asset management, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in team building and leadership, with the capacity to inspire and cultivate talent.
• Excellent project management abilities, including expertise in project planning, execution, and risk management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Technical proficiency in FSM software platforms, system integration, and data analytics.
• Willingness to travel to client sites (domestic and/or international) as required and defined by project needs.
