US Contract Attorney – Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate pairs of AI-generated outputs related to litigation tasks, such as research memos, pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and case strategy.

• Determine which response is superior and articulate the reasoning behind your choice.

• Draft succinct justifications rooted in source documents and relevant US law.

• Develop realistic legal prompts, fact patterns, and model responses based on litigation expertise.

• Identify errors, omissions, and potentially problematic advice in AI-generated legal content.

• Attend onboarding and calibration training sessions.

• Engage in regular side-by-side assessments and contribute to legal dataset development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in at least one US state with an active bar membership.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in US litigation.

• Background in civil or commercial litigation, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a law school accredited by the ABA.

• Exceptional writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Must reside in the USA.

• Currently unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience at an AmLaw 100 firm.

• Bonus: Previous experience with legal AI projects involving Mercor.

• Bonus: Prior experience in data annotation, AI evaluation, or legal benchmarking.
