Solar Field Service Technician II

📋 Description

• Diagnose and repair utility-scale solar energy systems.

• Conduct testing including LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and infrared scans.

• Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure projects remain on schedule.

• Execute operations and maintenance (O&M) for utility-scale solar facilities.

• Review completed tasks to confirm they adhere to quality and safety regulations.

• Uphold on-site safety protocols (OSHA, NFPA 70E).

• Identify and troubleshoot system problems in the field.

• Fill out work orders, service logs, and necessary documentation.

• Operate and care for company vehicles and tools.

• Mentor and assist junior technicians during field operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in utility-scale solar.

• Background in working with megawatt-scale photovoltaic systems.

• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques.

• Experience with solar operations and maintenance tasks.

• Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety regulations.

• Skilled in using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and other testing tools.

• Basic proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office).
