Solar Field Service Technician I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits.

• Carry out testing procedures: LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans.

• Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure projects remain on schedule.

• Conduct operations and maintenance (O&M) on utility-scale solar facilities.

• Review completed work to confirm adherence to quality and safety standards.

• Uphold safety protocols (OSHA, NFPA 70E) on-site.

• Identify system problems and address them in the field.

• Finalize work orders, service logs, and necessary documentation.

• Manage and maintain company vehicle and tools.

• Mentor and assist junior technicians in the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2+ years of experience in utility-scale solar (solar farms / ground-mount systems).

• Background in megawatt-scale PV systems (not residential rooftop solar).

• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and repair skills (inverters, DC systems, power electronics).

• Familiarity with solar O&M / maintenance work.

• Knowledge of OSHA / NFPA 70E safety standards.

• Experience with multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and other testing equipment.

• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
