This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the quality for Agilent's automation ecosystem by ensuring that every solution, ranging from instruments and robotics to orchestration software and autonomous workflows, delivers dependable, interoperable, and customer-ready outcomes at scale.
• Oversee quality engineering, validation, and release readiness across the APS portfolio.
• Ensure that automation platforms, workflow software (LIMS/ELN/LES), liquid handling systems, and integrated customer workflows meet the necessary performance, reliability, compliance, and interoperability standards.
• Define and implement the quality and test strategy for APS across hardware, software, and integrated workflow solutions.
• Build and manage a global quality engineering organization that aligns with APS growth objectives.
• Foster a culture of quality, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a shift-left mindset.
• Lead the implementation of automated testing capabilities across software and workflow solutions.
• Encourage continuous integration and continuous test execution practices.
• Enhance test coverage, release velocity, defect containment, and predictability.
• Support Agile development teams by embedding quality engineering practices.
• Define validation strategies for multi-vendor automation environments.
• Validate integrations with partner instruments, robotics, software platforms, and orchestration layers.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering leaders to set release quality objectives and success criteria.
• Ensure that relevant software and automation products comply with applicable regulatory requirements and quality standards, such as CFR 21 part 11.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in software testing, systems validation, automation engineering, or quality management.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading global cross-functional teams.
• Strong comprehension of Agile development methodologies and software development lifecycles.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD environments.
• Demonstrated success in driving quality improvements within complex product portfolios.
