This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Conduct test analysis, design, and planning based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Carry out functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on web-based applications.
• Oversee the complete defect life cycle — including logging, triage, prioritization, verification, and closure — with clear and reproducible reporting.
• Assist in test closure activities, such as coverage assessment, exit-criteria evaluation, and test summary reporting.
• Aid in incident investigation and analysis, collaborating with development and product teams to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Engage throughout the SDLC — participating in refinement, planning, and release activities — to highlight risks and quality concerns early.
• Collaborate with automation engineers, providing insights on automation coverage and interpreting automated test results.
• Uphold traceability and maintain test documentation to meet the standards expected in a regulated environment.
• Around 5 years of experience in software testing.
• Familiarity with the complete test life cycle from analysis to closure.
• Strong grasp of the end-to-end SDLC, from initiation to release.
• Significant hands-on experience in defect management along with knowledge of incident handling and analysis.
• Practical experience in test automation and understanding of how automated testing integrates into the overall test strategy.
• Proficient in testing web applications, including browser testing, API testing (e.g., Postman), and the use of browser developer tools.
• Competence with a test/defect management process.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Experience in a regulated domain (medical devices, GLP, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 or similar) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Playwright or another modern automation framework is beneficial.
• Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and test integration into release workflows is a plus.
• ISTQB certification or an equivalent qualification is advantageous.
