Software Test Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning, design, execution, and reporting of software testing activities.

• May provide supervision to junior testers.

• Evaluate business and software requirements for any gaps, testability, and methodology.

• Assess program documentation and products for quality and compliance with design principles.

• Generate milestone status reports and deliver presentations on system concepts.

• Assist Cybersecurity T&E in alignment with DoDI 5000.02 and the DoD Risk Management Framework.

• Create and review test plans.

• Develop test cases and scripts, analyze test data, and ensure traceability of requirements.

• Collaborate with the software development team throughout the development lifecycle.

• Provide support for software configuration management and have a clear understanding of software components and interface requirements.

• Conduct both manual and automated testing, ranging from unit testing to integration and user acceptance testing.

• Identify, report, and manage defects throughout the defect management process.

• Analyze test outcomes and monitor software testing metrics.

• Assist the test lead in preparing test reports.

• Train, mentor, and oversee junior software engineers.

• Contribute to business development efforts, including conducting technical interviews, creating technical documentation, supporting proposal writing, and participating in proposal color reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret clearance is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with 13 years of experience.

• Comfortable working at a desk for extended periods and utilizing a computer.

• Capable of lifting weights up to 10–15 pounds as needed.

• Willingness to travel 10% or less.
