This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive testing methodology for validation software related to network hardware.
• Perform architecture design assessments, development and code evaluations, and implement code in production settings.
• Develop and review validation test strategies, adjusting them to ensure alignment with customer product or design modifications.
• Design and establish test systems architecture and procedures for hardware validation during the manufacturing process.
• Set testing standards and methodologies for others to adhere to.
• Generate test plans, test cases, and test scripts to evaluate hardware functionality and performance.
• Define, produce, review, release, and sustain software that automates manufacturing tests.
• Manage test equipment, gather and analyze data, and create test reports.
• Support and sustain manufacturing test software implemented in production environments.
• Execute configuration adjustments, adapt testing requirements to meet customer specifications, and assist new process initiatives.
• Keep documentation of testing procedures, specifications, and infrastructure updated through automated documentation tools and reviews.
• Collaborate with customers, development engineers, hardware engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance teams.
• Serve as a technical escalation and alignment resource across engineering, quality, manufacturing operations, and customer teams.
• Offer technical leadership and mentorship as the subject matter expert in network infrastructure testing and validation methodologies.
• A BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• 12 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 8 years with a master's degree.
• A combination of education, training, and experience will be assessed.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in network hardware interaction, validation, and configuration.
• Experience in over 5 core competencies, including Python, BASH, Linux/CentOS/Ubuntu, IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, memtester, iperf, BER, VM management solutions, networking systems/protocols, ONIE manufacturing upgrades, and Git.
• Strong understanding of professional software engineering practices throughout the entire software development life cycle.
• Experience in multi-site and multi-cultural work environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
• A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
• Over 15 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing sector is preferred.
• Background in test architecture design and methodology is preferred.
• Experience with hyperscale clients and environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with all mentioned core skills is preferred.
