This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a strong advocate for quality, working within an agile software development framework while collaborating closely with software engineers, designers, and product managers to analyze requirements specifications, discussing software design and testability to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
• Formulate test strategies and craft comprehensive test plans and test cases for user stories with minimal guidance.
• Prepare data sets to evaluate logic, error handling, and system workflows.
• Identify, reproduce, and track defects effectively.
• Validate code changes and fixes.
• Fulfill QA responsibilities within an agile scrum team.
• Recognize test cases suitable for automation, writing and refining them as needed.
• Capable of developing (including coding, debugging, and testing) test automation code for smaller user stories.
• Design, debug, create, and maintain automated test suites.
• Ensure automated test suites/packages are kept up-to-date with evolving requirements and features.
• Proactively seek opportunities for growth and learning from more experienced engineers.
• Experience with the software development life cycle utilizing agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with software quality assurance practices.
• Proficient in manual testing of web applications across various browsers, including IE, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, and Edge.
• Possess a test automation mindset, prioritizing automation approaches.
• Experience with automated GUI testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
• Knowledge of automated acceptance testing and page object pattern design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and a keen attention to detail.
• Outstanding time management skills with a proven capability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience collaborating within a distributed team (working 100% remotely).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, object-oriented programming, algorithms).
• Significant experience in a Macintosh or Linux environment.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
• Understanding of database interactions, such as MongoDB and SQL.
• Some knowledge of CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) tools.
• Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience testing in a cloud-based SaaS infrastructure.
• Experience with exploratory testing.
• Proficient in using Git and GitHub.
• Experience testing REST APIs.
