Software Security Analyst/Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise and manage the scanning process for application security vulnerabilities.

• Address application security vulnerabilities prior to the release of software.

• Formulate action plans and milestones for vulnerabilities that are postponed to subsequent releases.

• Execute operations and maintenance software development tasks.

• Collaborate with the development team and IRS personnel to enhance the agent experience within a large call center setting.

• Organize and facilitate technical meetings for developers.

• Tackle issues and suggest viable solutions.

• Offer technical guidance and streamline processes.

• Prepare work proposals for review and approval.

• Keep the Project Manager and Task Lead updated.

• Contribute to developing software code changes and updates as an active member of the software development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in software/web development, engineering, or optimization utilizing Object Oriented Programming.

• Proficient in full-stack J2EE with experience in Java 17 and 21, JavaScript, Spring framework, Spring Boot/JSF, PrimeFaces, JQuery, Java Beans, and JSF.

• Familiar with ECLIPSE 2022 or later, RedHat Linux, Tomcat, and HTML5.

• Practical experience with security scanning tools such as Trivy, SonarCube, Qualys, and Nexus IQ.

• Knowledgeable in vulnerability mitigation, incident tracking/management, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, OpenShift projects, and container management.

• Understanding of IBM mainframe components, including Verastream Bridge Integrator, CICS, and mainframe transaction processing.

• Experience in conducting unit tests, peer reviews, code check-in/check-out, requirements analysis, LOE assessment/documentation, and technical documentation.

• Strong analytical abilities for identifying and resolving defects.

• Experience in troubleshooting issues on development and production servers, networking, and environment configuration.

• Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, Selenium, open-source logging, iText APIs, IRS Enterprise Life Cycle, OneSDLC, IRM/IRS security regulations, IRM 2.5 System Development, and 508 Compliance preferred.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, development environments, and change control processes is preferred.

• Familiarity with IBM Liberty and IBM Assembler is an advantage.

• Active Treasury/IRS Public Trust or Minimum Background Investigation clearance is required, or candidates must be eligible to obtain it.

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly preferred.

• Certifications in software development, security, networking, or system administration are a plus.
