This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile meetings, offering QA insights and feedback on story requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Develop clear and effective test cases that align with acceptance criteria and overall test plans.
• Conduct acceptance testing during regular sprint cycles.
• Carry out regression testing prior to releases in conjunction with automated testing efforts.
• Collaborate with QA Automation Engineers to enhance test coverage, validate defects, and ensure release readiness.
• Work closely with remote developers and cross-functional team members to facilitate rapid iteration and resolve issues.
• Replicate, document, and refine customer-reported bugs, including reproduction steps, expected and actual outcomes, and relevant details.
• Monitor testing activities, defects, and results using designated QA and development tools.
• Commit to continuous learning and adaptation to new tools, systems, and testing methodologies.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 1 year of experience testing web applications in a professional, academic, internship, or similar project setting.
• A foundational understanding of software quality assurance principles, test planning, and defect life cycles.
• Capability to write and execute manual test cases based on user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in performing acceptance testing, regression testing, exploratory testing, and defect verification.
• Proficiency in clearly documenting defects, including reproducible steps, environment details, screenshots or logs when applicable, severity, and impact.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, including sprint planning, refinement, daily standups, and sprint reviews.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess software behavior against documented requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration with remote and cross-functional team members.
• Quick learner of new tools, systems, and workflows.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple testing tasks within sprint timelines.
• Desirable: experience with API testing concepts, tools, or workflows.
• Desirable: familiarity with Azure DevOps for work item tracking, test management, or defect reporting.
• Desirable: experience using TestRail or similar test case management tools.
• Desirable: exposure to automated testing processes or coordination with QA Automation Engineers.
• Desirable: basic understanding of browsers, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or client/server architecture.
• Desirable: experience testing SaaS products, enterprise applications, or customer-facing web platforms.
• Desirable: familiarity with accessibility, usability, performance, or cross-browser testing concepts.
• Desirable: experience working with distributed or remote software development teams.
