This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and associated Agile meetings, offering QA insights and feedback on story requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Develop clear and effective test cases that align with acceptance criteria and comprehensive test plans.
• Conduct acceptance testing throughout regular sprint cycles.
• Execute regression testing prior to releases, coordinating with automated testing initiatives.
• Collaborate with QA Automation Engineers to ensure adequate test coverage, validate defects, and assess release readiness.
• Work alongside remote developers and cross-functional team members to facilitate rapid iteration and prompt issue resolution.
• Reproduce, document, and enhance customer-reported bugs with detailed steps, expected and actual results, and supplementary information.
• Monitor testing activities, defects, and outcomes using approved QA and development tools.
• Commit to continuous learning and adaptation to new tools, systems, and testing methodologies.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience testing web applications in a professional, academic, internship, or similar project setting.
• A foundational understanding of software quality assurance principles, test planning, and defect life cycles.
• Proficiency in writing and executing manual test cases based on user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in acceptance, regression, exploratory, and defect verification testing.
• Capability to clearly document defects, encompassing reproducible steps, environment specifics, screenshots or logs as necessary, severity, and impact.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to assess software behavior against documented requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration with remote and cross-functional team members.
• Aptitude for quickly learning new tools, systems, and workflows.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing tasks within sprint timelines.
• Experience with API testing concepts, tools, or workflows is preferred.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Experience using TestRail or similar test case management tools is advantageous.
• Exposure to automated testing processes or coordination with QA Automation Engineers is desirable.
• Basic understanding of browsers, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or client/server architecture is beneficial.
• Experience testing SaaS products, enterprise applications, or customer-facing web platforms is advantageous.
• Familiarity with accessibility, usability, performance, or cross-browser testing concepts is desirable.
• Experience working with distributed or remote software development teams is preferred.
