Software QA Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist the Texas Education Agency with SEDS and/or TSDS testing projects.

• Conduct advanced computer systems analysis and lead team initiatives.

• Oversee the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance sector.

• Plan, budget, and analyze user requirements, procedures, and challenges to automate processing or enhance existing systems.

• Collaborate with development teams and clients to design, automate, and implement test cases across intricate web applications.

• Provide support for performance, accessibility, and data validation testing.

• Examine user requirements, design documents, and other documentation to create comprehensive test cases.

• Develop and run automated functional and regression test cases.

• Document and report issues, executed test cases, test results, and summaries of testing activities.

• Carry out manual testing and validate data.

• Execute SQL queries for data analysis and manipulation.

• Define and implement strategies for test case automation.

• Communicate testing progress and findings to the team effectively.

• Perform performance and accessibility testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in testing complex web applications.

• 6 years of automation experience utilizing Java and TestNG.

• 5 years of proficiency in SQL.

• 4 years of hands-on experience with Playwright.

• 4 years of experience in workflow-driven automation.

• 4 years of experience with JMeter/WAPT Pro or similar load testing tools.

• 3 years of experience with GitHub Copilot skills.

• Preferred: 2 years of experience with Zephyr Scale.

• Preferred: 2 years of experience with Jira.

• Availability for evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required, subject to agency approval.

• Preference will be given to candidates based in Texas.
