Software Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead influential client projects from their inception to successful implementation.

• Oversee multiple simultaneous software development projects for key clients in the UK and Europe, from start to finish.

• Create and sustain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules.

• Ensure effective communication among client teams, engineering, and other stakeholders.

• Proactively pinpoint project risks, dependencies, and obstacles—taking measures to address them promptly.

• Consistently update the project management system (Linear) and escalate significant blockers or risks to maintain project alignment.

• Organize and facilitate agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

• Monitor and relay project progress, KPIs, and milestones to leadership and other stakeholders.

• Promote smooth collaboration among remote teams across various time zones.

• Champion and apply best practices in software development and agile project management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing projects within financial, regulatory, fintech, blockchain, AI/ML, SaaS, data science, or open-source fields.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience managing technical software projects within agile frameworks, preferably in a consulting context.

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Familiarity with project management tools like Linear is an advantage.

• Proven ability to lead fully remote, distributed teams and coordinate work across different time zones.

• Exceptional communication, organization, relationship-building, and influencing abilities.

• Technical proficiency and a successful history of working closely with engineering teams, particularly those specializing in blockchain solutions for financial institutions.
