This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the engineering execution for onboarding new clients onto the healthcare payer platform.
• Take charge of sequencing, staffing, dependencies, and commitments for customer implementations.
• Identify delivery risks and clarify scope and quality tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with Product, Implementation, and Customer Success teams on onboarding commitments.
• Manage production health, incident responses, root cause analyses, and implement durable fixes.
• Minimize recurring defects and escalations through proactive measures.
• Enhance observability, alerting, and operational preparedness.
• Balance customer-driven initiatives with technical investments and platform sustainability.
• Deliver the team's platform integration tasks as the product integrates into a broader ecosystem.
• Execute the Azure-to-AWS migration scope following established architecture and DevOps practices.
• Ensure availability and customer experience throughout migration and integration changes.
• Set and uphold standards for code reviews, testing, CI/CD, automated testing, and release practices.
• Guarantee proper management of sensitive customer and healthcare data, including access controls and audit trails.
• Highlight technical debt and negotiate its reduction in the face of delivery pressures.
• Create and sustain AI-assisted development practices for coding, testing, review, debugging, and documentation.
• Guide AI tool usage with repository instructions, prompt practices, and CI checks.
• Mentor engineers on effective AI application and assess the success of these practices.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain engineering talent.
• Provide direct feedback, manage underperformance, delegate responsibilities, and foster the development of engineers.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams with direct responsibility for delivery, hiring, performance, and development.
• Proficient in independently reviewing designs and code.
• Capable of reasoning about API and data boundaries.
• Skilled in evaluating migration and reliability tradeoffs.
• Able to challenge engineers on technical decisions.
• Proven track record of reliable delivery against external commitments and deadlines.
• Experience in operating a production system with real customers, encompassing incident response, quality management, and customer-impacting escalations.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and a perspective on effective team utilization.
• Preferred: Experience working across AWS and Azure, including multi-cloud or cross-cloud migration projects.
• Preferred: Background in delivering enterprise B2B SaaS with implementation or onboarding cycles.
• Preferred: Familiarity with regulated or sensitive data.
• Base salary range of $150,289.00 - $225,434.00 per year.
