Software Engineering Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop the Fulfillment Pod by hiring, mentoring, and establishing technical standards.

• Take ownership of the architecture and implementation of core fulfillment systems.

• Maintain a balance between hands-on coding and technical leadership, remaining actively involved in the codebase.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to transform the roadmap into delivered, scalable features.

• Enhance performance, scalability, and reliability across the pod's services.

• Integrate AI into workflows by automating processes where possible, allowing the team to concentrate on what truly matters.

• Facilitate the team's rituals, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are efficient and effective.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in software engineering, with a preference for candidates who have held leadership or mentoring roles.

• Strong proficiency in backend systems, particularly PHP, NodeJS, or Python, as our technology stack includes all three.

• In-depth understanding of system design, clean architecture, and the associated trade-offs that arise with scaling.

• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, or developing engineers both technically and personally.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

• A problem-solver mentality: logical, inquisitive, and resistant to over-engineering.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, as our operations are conducted in English.
