Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and deliver features comprehensively across React Native (mobile), React (web dashboards), and a serverless TypeScript backend.

• Implement product workflows from user interface and data entry through API logic, persistence, and error/status management.

• Create and utilize clean API contracts, ensuring shared validation schemas across mobile, web, and backend platforms.

• Manage integrations with financial and payment-rails partners, connecting third-party APIs and webhooks (such as payment processors, settlement rails, KYC, banking) into our services with idempotent and fault-tolerant handling.

• Operate within a serverless AWS architecture (Lambda, DynamoDB) using TypeScript infrastructure-as-code.

• Collaborate with both frontend and backend leads, adapting to work on either side as project priorities evolve.

• Focus on quality where it counts: typed interfaces, reasonable tests, and proper management of edge cases in a financial product.

• Assist in maintaining a clean, shared monorepo where types and components are reused rather than duplicated.

• Utilize AI-assisted development as your standard workflow and help keep our shared documentation up to date, ensuring teammates and agents remain informed.

⛳️ Requirements

• AI-native / AI-first mindset (highly preferred). You incorporate AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as a fundamental part of your workflow, adept at directing them to enhance your output across the stack, while possessing the discernment to identify where AI can expedite processes and where human oversight is essential (financial logic, security, compliance).

• Minimum of 4 years experience building full-stack web/mobile products in a production environment.

• Proficient TypeScript skills across both frontend and backend; you conceptualize in types as well as write them.

• Solid experience with React, along with either hands-on React Native experience or a proven ability to quickly adapt to new frontend frameworks.

• Production experience in developing backend services using Node.js, preferably in a serverless context (Lambda or similar), with a NoSQL data store (DynamoDB or equivalent).

• Demonstrable breadth of experience: clear evidence of owning production features from end to end (UI, backend, data modeling, release/debugging), rather than just a single layer.

• Comfortable working within a small team where you take ownership of entire features from start to finish and frequently shift contexts.

• An agency background is a significant advantage: you have delivered across various projects and clients, adapting to context changes seamlessly.

• A startup background is also highly advantageous: you thrive in environments characterized by ambiguity, ownership, and multitasking.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (SST, CDK, Pulumi, or Terraform) is a plus. Experience in fintech or payments is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Strong proficiency in English.
