Software Engineering Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Supports management in the department's operations, which includes coordinating resources and assets, budgeting and scheduling, managing processes and work systems, conducting interviews/hiring, and fulfilling other administrative duties.

• Guides fellow software team members, providing both technical and administrative oversight of another engineer’s assignments.

• Evaluates software strategy alongside Engineering management and other engineers to ensure that final products are safe for users, adhere to sound engineering principles (software should be maintainable and modifiable when necessary), fulfill required functions, and can be efficiently and effectively sustained as products.

• Conducts performance evaluations as mandated by company policies in a timely manner, including follow-up responsibilities to aid in professional development and/or administer disciplinary actions as necessary for assigned staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a comparable degree, or equivalent professional experience is required.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Python/C++/C# for PC applications and/or Python/JavaScript/C# for full-stack web development is required.

• Relevant internship, co-op, or similar work experience may be considered.

• Proficiency in software and product systems design and programming, including object-oriented design and MVC, is required.
