
Software Engineering Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
β’ Collaborate with the Lead Product Manager to ensure the backlog is meticulously refined, thoroughly documented, and prepared for development.
β’ Craft clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria for product improvements, bug fixes, and technical requests.
β’ Facilitate discussions with internal subject matter experts (support, training, customer success) to gather context, replicate issues, and document edge cases.
β’ Assist in backlog refinement sessions and sprint planning by ensuring stories comply with the Definition of Ready.
β’ Aid in the preparation of discovery materials and documentation for new features or customer requirements.
β’ Organize support materials such as workflows, screenshots, support cases, and notes from stakeholders.
β’ Act as a bridge between customer-facing teams and developers, ensuring that issues are well understood before development commences.
β’ Follow up with stakeholders to address outstanding questions or missing information for development tasks.
β’ Contribute to the internal product documentation and knowledge base articles.
β’ 3β5 years of experience in business analysis, product support, customer success, or product operations within a SaaS, B2B, or ERP software context.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities β you take pride in creating clear documentation that others can easily act upon.
β’ Proactive and resourceful β you take the initiative to schedule meetings, follow up, and resolve blockages.
β’ Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail β you can handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining organized notes.
β’ Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, user stories, and backlog refinement processes.
β’ A keen interest in advancing your career in product management.
β’ Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
β’ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and facilitating meetings is advantageous.
β’ Knowledge of the security and alarm industry, business operations, or accounting software (AR, AP, inventory, service dispatch, etc.) is a plus.
