Software Engineering Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• The Engineering Operations Specialist is a hands-on professional tasked with the implementation, maintenance, automation, and continuous enhancement of a cohesive Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) across various software applications.

• This position is integral to daily engineering and product operations, managing configurations in Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Productboard, while actively developing workflows, automation, and integrations that facilitate efficient quality delivery.

• The role merges process ownership with technical execution, necessitating an individual who can establish standards and personally configure the tools that uphold them.

• Collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Quality teams is essential to minimize friction, enhance visibility, and ensure consistent execution across a variety of teams and systems.

• Furthermore, this position will focus on automating reporting and operations through the use of AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in engineering operations, engineering management, program management, or similar fields.

• Extensive, hands-on experience in administering Jira and Confluence.

• Proven track record of building and maintaining Jira workflows, automations, and reporting systems.

• Strong comprehension of SDLC execution in real engineering contexts.

• Experience collaborating directly with engineers to address process and tooling challenges.

• Capability to work independently and make daily configuration decisions.

• Excellent skills in written documentation and practical training.
