Software Engineer – Vulnerability Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Detect vulnerabilities through automated tools and manage them effectively.

• Partner with various teams to facilitate the resolution of vulnerabilities.

• Contribute to Stripe’s overarching security and risk management initiatives.

• Enhance Stripe's security stance, processes, and tools on an ongoing basis.

• Develop data- and agent-driven systems to identify vulnerabilities throughout Stripe.

• Coordinate solutions to avert exploits that could impact Stripe or its users.

• Provide guidance on security risks and promote practices that fortify Stripe’s systems and data.

• Choose effective scanning tools to reveal weaknesses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience, not including internships and co-ops.

• Software engineering background within the security sector.

• Strong empathy, communication skills, and a commitment to collaboration.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• High expectations for code quality and a positive, constructive mindset.

• Knowledge of automated vulnerability detection tools and triage (preferred).

• Experience in delivering projects that utilize agents to streamline human review processes (preferred).

• Ability to think innovatively and comprehensively about mitigating risk in a complex setting (preferred).
