This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more countries.
• Develop product features
• Research new technologies such as 5G, OSM, and SDN to enhance products
• Generate proposals for product improvement and evolution
• Conduct bug fixing for products associated with the squad
• Investigate and integrate open-source software components
• Create or enhance cloud products based on open-source frameworks
• Write Python code to improve open-source tools
• Integrate or create Helm Charts for deployments in Kubernetes
• Perform automated deployments in laboratories
• Execute troubleshooting activities with other areas
• Participate in Scrum meetings and technical discussions
• Collaborate with other units on common tasks, including outside of regular hours when required
• Engage in open-source communities
• Submit code via Git with clear commits and document changes
• Meet work deadlines and respond promptly to messages on Slack and email
• Attend daily meetings and inter-area meetings
• Recent graduates or those about to complete studies in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields
• Experience in software development using Python
• At least 1 year of proven professional or personal experience with Python
• Knowledge of data structures, object-oriented programming, computational complexity, design patterns, and concurrency
• Basic knowledge of Linux: commands, file manipulation, and networking
• Basic experience with Shell scripting (Bash)
• Intermediate use and creation of container images with Docker
• Ability to create images using Dockerfile
• Understanding of the Docker container lifecycle
• Knowledge of networking protocols, IP addressing, and routing
• Basic networking knowledge from a programming perspective: interfaces, sockets, and ports
• Experience with TCP, UDP, HTTP, and REST
• Familiarity with the normal Git workflow: add, commit, and push
• Experience working with branches and resolving conflicts in Git
• Proficiency in English at a B2 level
