Software Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop testing infrastructure, deployment workflows, and release pipelines for FORM's image recognition and AI-driven task management platforms.

• Create and implement robust test automation frameworks for large-scale enterprise products.

• Establish comprehensive automated testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, and load/performance levels.

• Work collaboratively with an Agile team to enhance testing practices, release processes, and the overall quality of products.

• Enhance testing for service-oriented architecture across distributed, event-driven systems.

• Assess and adopt testing tools, deployment strategies, and release management practices.

• Build quality test coverage and dependable deployment pipelines.

• Offer valuable insights and mentorship to team members.

• Engage in planning, architecture, and strategic decision-making regarding testing and release strategies.

• Diagnose and resolve production and real-world issues.

• Address problems and implement safeguards to prevent future occurrences.

• Validate release integrity using observability and monitoring tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience, focusing on test automation, deployment pipelines, and/or release management.

• Extensive experience in implementing automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end, load/performance) within event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar.

• Capability to utilize AI Tools for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.

• Practical experience in designing and constructing CI/CD pipelines and release automation.

• Familiarity with or a strong understanding of service-oriented architecture and testing across distributed systems.

• Proficient in using and testing gRPC APIs and/or RESTful APIs.

• Ability to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot real-world problems with minimal context or support.

• Eagerness to participate in planning, architecture, and strategic decisions regarding testing and release strategies.

• Strong empathy for the customer experience, emphasizing reliability and quality.

• Delivery-focused mindset with an understanding of trade-offs between completeness and perfection.

• Willingness and capability to diagnose, resolve, and implement safeguards when systems fail.

• Preferred: experience with Postgres, OpenSearch, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, and Agile practices.

• Preferred: extensive experience in building deployment and release pipelines, including blue-green deployments, canary releases, and rollback strategies.

• Preferred: familiarity with machine learning concepts and practical applications, including testing ML-driven features.

• Preferred: workflow experience with Temporal or Camunda.

• Preferred: experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
