This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Designing, developing, and enhancing high-performance data plane software utilizing modern C/C++ on Linux-based systems
• Creating networking software for DPU-powered Smart Switch platforms
• Diagnosing intricate software defects, networking challenges, and issues reported by customers
• Leading technical design discussions while engaging in architecture and code review sessions
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to provide innovative networking and security solutions
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years, or a PhD with 7+ years of pertinent experience
• Over 10 years of professional software development expertise in C or C++ within Linux environments
• Proven experience in developing networking or data plane software, with a solid understanding of Layer 2, Layer 3, and standard networking protocols
• Background in developing or optimizing high-performance packet processing applications using DPDK, networking stacks, or similar technologies
• Proficient in designing, implementing, debugging, reviewing, and delivering production-quality systems software
• Preferred: Experience in software development for Data Processing Units (DPUs), SmartNICs, network processors, or networking appliances
• Familiarity with P4 or other programmable data plane technologies
• Experience in contributing to networking architecture, systems software design, or large-scale distributed networking solutions
• Experience working with cross-functional or geographically distributed engineering teams
