This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
β’ Cultivate relationships within your team and gain a comprehensive understanding of its areas, including Batch Changes, Agentic Batch Changes, Code Monitors, Code Insights, and src CLI, by engaging with them from both user and agent perspectives to identify key product and technical investments for the future.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Solutions Engineering, and related engineering teams to translate customer insights into a concrete vision for the team's deliverables.
β’ Participate in the team's on-call support rotation.
β’ Take ownership of a significant portion of Agentic Batch Changes end-to-end, delivering critical components personally.
β’ Serve as the technical lead for the team's roadmap, defining project scopes and sequences across the product surfaces, while establishing clear ownership expectations and prioritizing tasks.
β’ Enhance team practices that ensure reliability in their work processes, including design, review, testing, and delivery methodologies.
β’ Mentor colleagues and continue to foster high-trust relationships within the team.
β’ Be recognized as the technical visionary for Code Plane, providing insights on architecture, quality, and product trade-offs to both teammates and the broader department.
β’ Establish yourself as the go-to person within the company who thoroughly comprehends customer and agent ecosystem needs from Code Plane, guiding future investments for Sourcegraph.
β’ Set the course for the team's roadmap with well-supported conviction, inspiring other engineers to bring it to fruition.
β’ Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
β’ A robust technical background, capable of offering guidance on architecture, code quality, and trade-offs.
β’ Demonstrated experience in teams responsible for developing end-user product features, particularly in developer tools, agent/AI products, CLIs, or other technical product surfaces.
β’ Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design teams to transition features from concept to launch, while integrating customer feedback into the development roadmap.
β’ Customer-facing experience, including conducting discovery calls, forming design partnerships, and embedding feedback loops into the roadmap.
β’ Proven experience in delivering products designed for or utilized by AI agents, such as MCP servers, agent SDKs, agentic development tooling, or agent-friendly CLIs.
β’ Practical experience with coding agents (such as Amp, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar), with a keen understanding of effective workflows involving both humans and agents.
β’ Excellent async-first communication skills and experience working within a globally distributed remote team.
