Software Engineer, SupportHub

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Analyze and determine the root causes of technical problems.

• Address production-related issues promptly.

• Set up and manage program configurations and data workflows between EnergyHub and our OEM or Utility collaborators.

• Adjust and refresh data attributes in scenarios without UI access.

• Develop dashboards utilizing our data warehouse to provide insights and answer key questions regarding high-value opportunities.

• Recognize and implement technical solutions to alleviate or resolve known issues.

• Troubleshoot reported concerns by examining logs, data, and code, primarily in Java, with occasional use of Python and TypeScript.

• Contribute to the codebase by submitting bug-fix pull requests.

• Create, modify, and sustain Python scripts for data migrations, data cleaning, or process enhancements.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Proven ability to synthesize information from various sources to pinpoint root causes.

• Excellent organizational capabilities and a keen eye for identifying improvement areas.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Comfortable collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.

• Ability to work effectively across different time zones and cultures.

• Understanding of code versioning principles and proficiency with tools like Git.

• Experience in identifying and troubleshooting issues using monitoring tools such as AWS Cloudwatch, Sentry, or Datadog.

• Familiarity with working with third-party APIs using Postman.

• Proficient in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.

• Background or familiarity with full-stack web development.

• Experience with the AWS ecosystem or other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
