Software Engineer, NFL Universe Football

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and launch features for millions of daily users.

• Take ownership of gameplay features from start to finish, including implementation, release, and iterations.

• Decompose product requirements into technical tasks and provide accurate estimates.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Roblox Lua.

• Design and create scalable, efficient, and maintainable systems.

• Collaborate with designers, artists, and producers to create high-quality gameplay experiences.

• Monitor live features, assess performance, and proactively resolve issues.

• Enhance code quality, improve development workflows, and ensure system reliability.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to best engineering practices.

• Playtest features to enhance player experience, responsiveness, and overall polish.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience in Roblox or relevant game development.

• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills.

• Proven experience in shipping features or games within a production environment.

• Capability to work independently on feature development with moderate supervision.

• Familiarity with version control and collaborative development processes.

• Availability for regular collaboration during Eastern or Pacific Time business hours.

• Authorization to work in your country of residence.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience in a development team (preferred).

• Experience in shipping games or features on Roblox or similar platforms (preferred).

• Background in game jams or modding (preferred).

• Knowledge of live game systems, including analytics, economy tuning, and balancing (preferred).

• Experience in optimizing multiplayer or real-time systems (preferred).
