Software Engineer – .NET, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain C#/.NET services hosted on IIS and Azure.

• Provide support for patient-facing and clinical-facing applications, including scheduling, kiosks, care management, and data exchange.

• Produce clean, testable code and engage in peer code reviews.

• Create unit and integration tests following established testing methodologies.

• Contribute to GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows and enhance pipeline modernization.

• Monitor application performance using AppDynamics and Splunk.

• Investigate and resolve issues arising from alerts or on-call escalations.

• Write and maintain SQL Server stored procedures, queries, and schema modifications under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Collaborate with product owners, QA, and infrastructure engineers throughout the requirements gathering to production deployment process.

• Participate in the on-call rotation and address production incidents.

• Document technical decisions and contribute to knowledge bases and runbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of professional software engineering experience with C# and .NET (Framework or Core).

• Proficient understanding of REST API design and SQL Server.

• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and at least one pipeline tool (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Octopus, or equivalent).

• Capability to read and troubleshoot application logs.

• Comfortable working in a cloud-hosted environment.

• Experience with IIS-hosted web applications and Windows-based deployment workflows is preferred.

• Exposure to TypeScript or Angular for internal tooling is preferred.

• Familiarity with APM tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, or Grafana is preferred.

• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and practices for handling PHI is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in a production setting in lieu of a degree.
