Software Engineer, Marketplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop maintainable code and introduce new features for the Marketplace that connect customers with maintenance shops, while facilitating services, approvals, transactions, billing, and fleet data entry.

• Strategize, design, and execute features for Fleetio’s Marketplace offerings, including outsourced maintenance and payment solutions.

• Work alongside Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to provide high-quality software solutions.

• Engage in collaborative feature design and architectural discussions.

• Produce well-tested, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Conduct research and create prototypes to validate assumptions and assess technical feasibility.

• Contribute to the development and planning processes actively.

• Evaluate peer code for quality assurance, consistency, and knowledge sharing.

• Report directly to the Web Engineering Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and/or TypeScript.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and relational databases like PostgreSQL.

• Extensive experience in resolving complex architectural challenges with effective design solutions.

• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks.

• Exceptional written communication skills.

• Attention to detail, a focus on quality, and the ability to make informed tradeoffs.
