Software Engineer, L1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the backend services for the product, encompassing APIs, data models, and integrations.

• Take ownership of deployed work from initial commit to production operation.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to transform requirements into robust solutions that can handle high loads.

• Write maintainable code accompanied by tests and instrumentation.

• Engage in code reviews to ensure quality standards are met.

• Assist in establishing architectural and engineering standards while they are still under consideration.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.

• Proficient in Rust, Go, Java, or Kotlin, with production experience in Rust being an advantage.

• Capability to design REST APIs with well-defined contracts and logical versioning.

• Familiarity with AWS or similar platforms, containers, and CI/CD processes.

• Proficient in AI coding tools like Claude Code, with the ability to critically assess their outputs.

• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including ERC20, RPC nodes, and the differences between UTXO and account models.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A self-motivated work style.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: experience with payment systems such as SEPA, SWIFT, or ACH, or card issuing.

• Preferred: knowledge of regulated fintech topics such as PSD2, KYC/AML, and PCI DSS.

• Preferred: familiarity with crypto custody, on-chain settlement, and stablecoin transactions.

• Preferred: experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Sentry and New Relic.
