Software Engineer, Kernel and BIOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Platform team, comprising programmers who work closely with the hardware.

• Stay updated with and incorporate the latest advancements in the Linux Kernel.

• Enhance and create new kernel features related to functionality.

• Assess new CPUs and partner with vendors to integrate their stacks into EOS.

• Oversee the bring-up and qualification of components for hardware products.

• Manage projects from initial definition to deployment and customer engagement.

• Ensure the quality of all deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

• Over 5 years of experience in C or C++ and Python.

• Practical experience with Linux Kernel software is an advantage.

• Knowledge of IP networking and/or distributed systems is a plus.

• Applied understanding of software engineering principles.

• Excellent problem-solving and software troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to design solutions and implement them effectively.
