Software Engineer, Infrastructure – Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and oversee the versioned REST and gRPC APIs related to bare-metal server lifecycle, MachineType definitions, and cluster CRUD operations.

• Implement asynchronous workflows that facilitate server enrollment, inspection, OS provisioning, and cluster initiation, providing durable status updates to users.

• Construct models for error handling, guarantees of idempotency, and reconciliation loops essential for the reliable management of long-duration provisioning operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing RESTful APIs or gRPC services.

• Expertise in Go (preferred for backend/Kubernetes ecosystem).

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes primitives and controller/reconciler patterns.

• Practical experience with bare-metal provisioning workflows — including BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management, and hardware inspection.

• Experience in developing workflow-driven or event-driven systems (e.g., Temporal) where operations are long-running and state consistency must be maintained across retries and failures.

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in building informers or reconciliation bridges that ensure an external datastore remains consistent with the state of Kubernetes resources.

• Experience in creating platforms that necessitate strict data and network isolation between tenants.

• Knowledge of Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps-driven configuration (such as ArgoCD or Flux).

• Familiarity with GPU server hardware, DPUs/NICs, and high-performance data center fabrics.
