Software Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines for improved speed, cost efficiency, and flexibility.

• Automate the setup, teardown, partial teardown, and updates for single-tenant stacks.

• Optimize performance, manage migrations, and increase capacity for the multi-tenant production PostgreSQL database.

• Improve visibility of infrastructure spending and work on cost reduction strategies.

• Enhance workload and container isolation while supporting compliance initiatives.

• Develop infrastructure features that cater to customers, such as private connectivity, customer-defined networking, and simplified single-tenant deployments.

• Work collaboratively with both the infrastructure and broader engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building and maintaining production infrastructure, including on-call responsibilities.

• Proficient in Kubernetes operations, covering scheduling, networking, and failure scenarios.

• Strong understanding of AWS fundamentals, including EKS, RDS, VPC networking, and IAM.

• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably using Terraform.

• Ability to write and comprehend sufficient application code to modify a pipeline, controller, or service.

• Capability to independently transform ambiguous, long-standing issues into deployable solutions.

• Excellent technical writing skills, including the creation of design documents and runbooks.

• Expertise in at least one area such as networking, databases, or deployment systems.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
