Software Engineer III – Weblogic JEE Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, modify, configure, debug, and assess WebLogic and Oracle Fusion integrations.

• Implement minor enhancements and resolve defects in legacy WebLogic code.

• Oversee Oracle Service Bus (OSB) components.

• Create, extend, and maintain enterprise APIs while supporting backend API calls.

• Execute, maintain, and troubleshoot synchronous and asynchronous EAI message-processing patterns.

• Develop transformation logic utilizing XQuery and XSLT.

• Enhance integration delivery projects by identifying message-flow bottlenecks, system defects, and environmental issues.

• Conduct end-to-end testing of SOAP/REST web services and integration endpoints using SOAP UI.

• Maintain and administer WebLogic Server 10g and/or 11g environments.

• Undertake additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 8+ years of enterprise experience in Java EE/JEE development and middleware integration platforms.

• Extensive hands-on experience in developing, configuring, maintaining, and managing WebLogic Server 10g/11g.

• Proven expertise in building and maintaining integrations using Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle Fusion middleware suites.

• Advanced understanding of synchronous and asynchronous EAI patterns.

• Significant hands-on experience in writing transformation logic in XQuery and XSLT.

• Capability to build, debug, and test web services/APIs using SOAP UI.

• Ability to perform office-related tasks, including prolonged sitting or standing.

• Ability to navigate within an office environment.

• Competence in using a computer.

• Strong communication skills.

• Preferred: prior experience in electric, gas, or critical-infrastructure utilities.

• Preferred: familiarity with migrating or bridging legacy JEE/WebLogic services to cloud-native or microservice architectures.
